Editing charts

What you can change on a chart, and how to choose the way it appears on your store.

Content blocks

A chart is a list of blocks, shown on your store in the order you set. Add one with the buttons next to Add block, and drag a block by its handle to move it.

Upload an image or paste its link, and add alt text for screen readers. Videos can come from YouTube, Vimeo or a Shopify file link.

The cm/inch switch

Tick Allow shoppers to toggle between cm and inches on the chart's page, and shoppers can switch the table between the two units. The block's Default unit setting decides which one they see first, and their own choice is remembered in their browser.

The switch only converts numeric cells: a plain number, or a range such as 54-55. Size labels such as S, M and L, and notes, stay as you wrote them.

Footwear, international, jewelry, bra and bikini templates start with the switch off, because their columns hold size labels or fixed units. You can change this on any chart.

Display modes

Display mode is a setting on the Size chart block in the theme editor, not on the chart, so it applies to every chart shown through that product template.

Popup button label sets the text on the button or link (by default, Size guide). A popup closes with Esc or a click outside it.

The block also has settings for the chart title, font, logo, colors and table style.

Size conversion

On a paid plan, + Conversion adds a table that shows your sizes in another region. Choose a Size category and the Base-size column that holds your sizes. Shoppers pick from a Region menu: US, UK, EU and JP, plus AU and CN for footwear.

Where your table already has a column for a region, the chart shows those sizes. Other values come from standard conversion tables and are approximate, because sizing varies by brand.

Size recommender

On a paid plan, tick Enable size recommender on the chart's page. Shoppers get a Find my size button, enter their measurements and see a recommended size based on your chart's rows. Their measurements stay in their browser and never reach our servers.
